<![CDATA[Michah,

I think I can sum up my response in a comment this time, so here it goes.

You say that Gandalf has supernatural powers like an Angel,
BUT Angels do not cast spells, Gandalf however does use spells (see my last comment on my post Suilad Muindor).

I would highly recomend Mr. Phillip's (of the Vision Forum) post entitled "Harry Potter and the Lavender Brigade" which address the issue of Gandalf being an angelic parralel. It can be found here.
http://www.visionforum.com/hottopics/newsletters/newsletter.aspx?id=07-22-05

I believe we're at a "Mexican Stand-off", in that I say LOTR is not something to be admired and that it is ungodly and you say that I don't understand what Tolkien's true intentions were.

But I am glad I've gotten to know you and look forward to speaking about the many ways that we are in agreement!

BTW, when you were in Mobile did you get a chance to see the USS Alabama?

Semper Fi!
~Mike

              <![CDATA[Hi Micah,

I was at the Jamestown Quadricentennial for the Jamestown 400 Treasure Hunt.

I was in the sword pits for 15 minutes tops but it was one of the highlights of that trip.

It's amazing how many people I met there, at the SAICFF after my Dad got runner up in the treatment competition, the first person to congratulate us was the referee from the pits.

I think that there might be a couple of pictures of the forrays in the June archives of my Dad's blog (www.rehobothfarm.blogspot.com).

Excellent post, I look forward to more :).

God Bless,
~Mike]]>

<![CDATA[I so much enjoy a friendly debate!

As you know, I am not very much into LOTR. The only books written by Tolkien, that I have read are: the LOTR series and the Hobbit. I began the Simarillion(?), read the first 10 pages and thought, "I am reading the geneology of a people that never exsisted!" The series is incredible, especially when one takes into consideration that Tolkien created all those cultures. But I finally came to the conclusion that I could probably come up with a better use for my time than learning about a mythology that never exsisted.
